About Jann

Jann Harrison, an accomplished artist with deep southern roots resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Harrison paints in a pop humorist style with a bold and bawdy brand of humor which has a strong presence in her work and is prevalent when she probes the lighter side of life.

She enjoys combining realism with elements of fantasy, tossing in an unexpected touch of the surreal for flavor. Jann pushes the boundaries of her subjects to the place where they come alive and their story begins to unfold. The incorporation of these unexpected elements is her whimsical trademark and the kiss is her seal.

In her most recent series, The Adventures of Francois, Harrison chronicles the mythical Francois Andre Midas Fibian V, a rather curious-looking gentleman with a somewhat froglike appearance, yet, a man. Through his persona, Harrison explores the intricate relationships between Francois and his family, friends and lovers.

In recent years, Francois has traveled the world in search of the quintessential element missing from his life. During his ten years of traveling to exotic places around the globe, he lived with many people from various cultures and developed a deep love for mankind. His humanitarian efforts helped him to learn from others he was surrounded by the meaning of pure love. During his travels, family friend, Lola Piccard has entered the arena and stolen his heart. Lola is the love of his life, his soul mate. Francois's heart has been transformed in many ways. Jann Harrison has achieved international acclaim for the Adventures of Francois Collection. In this series Harrison keeps a journal of Francois's travels and becomes more than an artist; she is a travel guide, roving reporter, social commentator. Harrison is currently working on a book of vignettes which depict the story of many of the paintings she creates. Her art breathes magic into everyday life with humor and romance and brings smiles to the faces of those that enjoy her work.

Harrison's work has been featured on the reality show "The Bachelor". Her original painting "The Billiard Room" will be featured in Pierce Brosnan's new movie "Salvation Boulevard". Jann has signed a licensing deal with "Artwork on Tile". She is under contract with Curtis Publishing and is signed with the Artist's Agency Alliance Group, LLC of Winter Springs, Florida and Austin, Texas. Many of her original paintings are on display in select Ruth's Chris brand of restaurants. Her work is in galleries and private collections around the world.
